Heritage Auctions generated a record $962 million in sales through the first six months of 2025, the Dallas-based auction house announced Monday.

The mark sets Heritage on pace for its fifth consecutive record-setting year, following last year’s total of $1.867 billion. In 2020, the auction house recorded $873 million in sales.

“With our 50th anniversary approaching in 2026, momentum is stronger than ever,” Heritage CEO and co-chairman Steve Ivy said in a statement. “As the global leader in the collectibles space, we’ve been expanding our footprint with new offices, launching new categories, setting new records, and welcoming a wave of new generational clients, including many first-time bidders drawn to auctions through their passion for pop culture.”

Heritage says its high-flying first half of the year was led by sales from categories including comics and comic art, sports, entertainment, American art, and currency and coins.

Record sales from the first six months of 2025 included $1.02 million for the original cover art for The Amazing Spider-Man No. 194, $701,500 for the most expensive Allen Iverson card ever sold and $100 million in numismatics in January alone.

Heritage was founded as a numismatic-oriented auction house in 1976 and has since seen explosive growth in the internet age, pioneering online bidding and expanding to include robust sports, pop culture and art categories that rival historic incumbents such as Sotheby’s and Christie’s.

Heritage surpassed 2 million registered online bidders this past May.
