The home plate that sat inches from Barry Bonds’ cleats the moment he became baseball's all-time home run leader in 2007, is back at auction this week just over a year after it sold for $37,515 at Goldin.

Originally hailing from Bonds’ personal collection — the slugger was long known to have kept many of his key pieces from milestone events — it comes with an MLB Authentic hologram as well as a Bonds LOA.

It will now sell at SCP Auctions on Saturday, with bidding currently at $32,500.

“This is the actual home plate from the San Francisco Giants and Washington Nationals MLB game on August 7th, 2007, at AT&T Park where I hit my 756th career home run in the contest, passing Hank Aaron for sole possession of first place on the all-time MLB home run leaderboard,” the Bonds LOA reads. “After the game this home plate was removed from the park and given to me.”

In addition to the 50-pound plate (it was been filled with cement following its removal), the lot also includes a game-used ball from the same game, though the exact play is not noted.

SCP previously sold the most expensive home plate in history, from the original Yankee Stadium, for more than $300,000.
