Kim Kardashian revealed she was the buyer of the Bible her late father, lawyer Robert Kardashian, gave to O.J. Simpson.

Kardashian dropped the news on an episode of "The Kardashians" on Hulu.

"So, if anyone wondered who won that O.J. Simpson auction, you best believe it was me," she said, as she was unwrapping it. Kardashian was 22 when her father died of cancer in 2003.

Robert Kardashian, who was a volunteer assistant on the legal team that represented Simpson, gave him the Bible on June 18, 1994, the day after the infamous low-speed car chase in Los Angeles. Kardashian met Simpson in 1967, when both were students at USC. Simpson was the best man at Kardashian's wedding in 1978.

"O.J.," Kardashian wrote. "This book will help. God loves you, and He will speak to you with his words. God has a definite plan for your life. You are his child, and He will use you again. I love you, and God loves you. Robert."

The Bible, which sold for $80,276, was the highlight of a 97-lot auction put on by Goldin Auctions in March. The items came directly from the O.J. Simpson estate to raise money for the debt owed to the family of Ronald Goldman.

Before the auction, Malcolm LaVergne, the executor of Simpson's estate, said Kim Kardashian offered to buy the Bible for $15,000. He rejected it, saying the price was too low and offered $150,000 as a more reasonable price that would allow him to pull it from the auction.

Other top sellers from the estate included a replica of Simpson's 1968 Heisman Trophy ($42,700), a photo autographed to Simpson from former President Bill Clinton ($18,605) and two IDs — a 1969 USC student ID and a driver's license that expired in 1983 (sold for $24,461).

Simpson died in April 2024 from prostate cancer at the age of 76.

Last July, a Nevada probate judge approved Simpson-related items to be sold to pay off the money the former football star, actor and broadcaster owed to the Goldman family. As a result of winning the civil suit against Simpson, the Goldmans maintained Simpson owed them roughly $117 million.
