It marks the first time one of James’ 2016 NBA Finals jerseys had been offered publicly since the original sale nine years ago.

Though the Cleveland Cavaliers eventually topped Golden State in the series, the Warriors took Game 1, 104-89. James finished with 23 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists in 41 minutes.

The 2016 NBA Finals are best known for Cleveland's recovery from a 3-1 series deficit to win their first title in franchise history.

The record for the most expensive James jersey ever sold belongs to the $3.68 million paid for his 2013 NBA Finals Game 7 jersey in 2023.

Many collectors are circling James’ game-worn market with the expectation his career is coming to a close. Jerseys from pivotal moments or early seasons, when he wore fewer jerseys, are highly coveted.
