The jersey worn by Stephen Curry in his second career NBA game — in which he drained his first career 3-pointer — sold Wednesday night at Sotheby’s for $1.758 million.

That mark is the most expensive price ever paid for a Curry jersey at public auction.
This was the first public sale of the jersey, which was acquired by the consignor via MeiGray. As Curry’s debut jersey has never surfaced at auction, this jersey is the earliest from Curry’s career known to be in circulation.
Carrying 25 games of wear, it is likely the most heavily used Curry gamer to ever come to market.
Prior to this sale, the record for a Curry jersey was the $1.7 million paid privately to MeiGray for one worn during Game 6 of the 2022 NBA Finals.
Curry’s most expensive card sale to date is $1.08 million set in August 2022.
