Ashton Jeanty paid a bag to keep his "Deuce" brand alive.

The Raiders' 2025 first-round pick told Kay Adams he paid a hefty price to kicker Daniel Carlson in order to wear No. 2, the same number he wore at Boise State.

The running back, who had one of the most productive careers in college football history, said No. 2 is a family number, and he was also born Dec. 2, so he considers the number dear to his heart.

"You could probably buy a house," Jeanty told Adams, before backtracking. "Actually, I'm not going to say a house. You could buy a car, like a nice Mercedes."

Jeanty additionally said some of the money will go to charity.

This isn't the first time Carlson has switched numbers for a teammate. He initially changed from No. 8 to No. 2 when quarterback Marcus Mariota arrived in 2020. Now, Carlson is receiving a significant payday just to return to his original number.

Jeanty signed a four-year, $35.9 million rookie contract with the Raiders.
