After the opening weekend of the WNBA season, during which Caitlin Clark again asserted herself as one of the faces of the league with a triple-double, the Indiana Fever star will be featured on the cover of SLAM’s WNBA season preview issue.
SLAM already sold out Monday of a "gold metal" variant of the magazine, limited to 94, priced at $94. The "orange metal" variant, with an exclusive print listed as TBD, is priced at $50. Regular copies of the issue are $11.99.
This comes days after Clark was announced as the cover athlete of Sports Illustrated’s June issue, the first time she will appear on the magazine’s cover.
Clark’s appearance on SLAM is not her first, having appeared first back in 2024 in issue No. 249 while at Iowa and again in issue 252, her first in a Fever jersey.
Her debut issue has been graded more than 250 times by CGC. Over the weekend, a CGC 9.8 copy sold for $600 on eBay.
Dozens of copies of Clark’s Time Athlete of the Year magazine have also been graded by CGC and have become collector’s items, with copies selling for between $75 and $125.
