Los Angeles Chargers practice jerseys will look a little bit different this summer.

Coach Jim Harbaugh added patches to players’ jerseys to represent various accomplishments, including NFL records, Chargers records and awards such as Man of the Year.
Harbaugh said it reminds him of a military general, referencing various accolades fastened to dress uniforms.
“Someday they’ll be able to put that jersey up in a frame, put it on a wall, say something really good about themselves,” Harbaugh said. “It will be what they accomplished as a pro football player. I like that.”
Safety Derwin James Jr. appeared to approve of the new frills, saying it would earn bragging rights in the locker room.
“Guys wanna compete for their jersey to look like that, too," he said.
