eBay announced it will begin utilizing the Card Ladder Index to support its price guide starting Wednesday.
Card Ladder, owned by Collectors, is one of the leading data bases for tracking card sales in the industry and has long tracked eBay sales. It also provides indices for specific players, sports and categories.

“The addition of Card Ladder data to eBay trading card listings further streamlines the research and shopping experience for enthusiasts and collectors, offering a richer understanding of the collecting landscape,” said Adam Ireland, eBay's vice president and general manager of global collectibles, in a statement. “This new feature is another example of our commitment to the trading card community – with pricing, population size, and now broader industry insights via Card Ladder data, all in one convenient place.”
The indices will be seen by users on the “view item” page via the card scanning feature by users with the latest version of the eBay app.
This comes after a flurry of updates and integrations to the eBay app for card buyers, including the integration of new vaulting, grading and population information services in the past year.
