Fanatics Fest NYC will expand its collectibles display to feature more than $200 million worth of trading cards and memorabilia during the June 20-22 event, the company announced Monday.
The 10,500-square-foot “Museum of Greatness” will be displayed in a stadium setting with 20 different modules ranging from Rising Stars, GOATs and Women in Sports to Barrier Breakers and Entertainment.
Tom Brady, Shohei Ohtani, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Lionel Messi, Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle will be among the athletes featured.
So far, a Jordan’s 1998 NBA Finals “Last Dance” jersey, Ohtani’s 2024 All-Star Game uniform, a 2003 Ultimate Collection LeBron James Logoman RPA and more than 50 MLB Rookie Debut Patches are are among the items planned for display.
According to Fanatics, items have been sourced from personal collections of the players themselves as well as from the collections of 30 individual collectors in a partnership with Fanatics Collectibles and Fanatics Authentic. Some of the items will be placed on public display for the first time.
The museum will have 24-hour security during the event.
The expansion of the museum is the latest change for the event, which debuted last year as a comic con-like event for sports fans.
According to Fanatics Events CEO Lance Fensterman, the collectibles experience was an area the company had targeted to improve for 2025. In addition to reorganizing the autograph and photograph space to function more effectively, the entire show will be anchored by a live-breaking space in the middle of the show floor.
The card show aspect will also be reshaped, with dealer tables placed throughout the show rather than placed together at one end of the event space.
Fanatics Fest NYC 2025 will take place at the Javits Center in Manhattan.
