We don’t know where and we don’t know when, but the New York Giants are turning back the clock in a big way.
Big Blue announced Thursday that the team will rock “Century Red” uniforms at least twice this season to honor New York’s 100th season.
Key features include:
- Blue-and-white-striped red socks are from the Giants' inaugural 1925 season
- Red jerseys with blue accents from their 1933 NFL title-winning season
- Blue and red winged helmet honors the 1938 title
“The Century Red uniform puts a modern twist on some of our earliest uniforms and is worn to honor the players who laid the foundation of Giants football," Giants director of creative services Doug Murphy told ESPN. "Having previously brought back a lot of our more recent uniform combinations, we meticulously researched past Giants uniforms to ensure historical accuracy. We are proud that this uniform is a part of our 100th season celebration."

The Nike-designed jerseys will also feature a commemorative “100 Seasons” patch, which according to the Giants, takes inspiration from the Polo Grounds, Giants Stadium, the skyline logo and the team’s eight NFL championships.
Social media intrigue continues to pour in with the “Century Reds” receiving mixed reviews.
The Giants last brought back a classic jersey in 2022 when the team donned uniforms from the 1980s and 1990s, which they are expected to continue wearing this season.
