The puck from Jack Hughes' golden goal is in Canada.
Wait, what? The most important goal in U.S. men's hockey in the last 45 years isn't in the United States?
That's right.
The Hockey Hall of Fame, which is located in Toronto, announced Friday that both pucks are now in possession of the HOF and will be available for display soon.
And Hughes' game-winning puck isn't the only one. Hilary Knight's game-winning goal is there as well.
The only puck more notable in American history is from the game-winning goal in the 1980 Olympics, when the U.S. stunned the Soviet Union. The location of that puck? No one knows.
