"Shark Tank" star Kevin O'Leary spoke about his card collection on a recent episode of "Money Rehab."

Kevin O'Leary, who recently made waves as one of the buyers of the record-breaking Michael Jordan-Kobe Bryant Dual Logoman card, expressed his confidence in the future of trading cards as an investment during a podcast interview Monday.

Saying it helps explain larger collectible trends, O’Leary said on "Money Rehab with Nicole Lapin," “11 years of data” on trading cards, as well as projections from Walmart and Target of $1 billion in trading card sales, convinced him to begin investing.

“I’ve quietly been amassing a massive portfolio,” O’Leary said, adding he was indexing his investments in the space to optimize for diversification. O’Leary said the prices of the cards he has purchased, in addition to the Dual Logoman, are between $600,000 and $1.7 million.

O’Leary has not revealed which other cards are in his collection yet, but says he will “bring them out at some point.”

“I think that portfolio is going to perform very, very well.”

O’Leary also expressed his fondness for another collectible in the interview, saying he refuses to sell his Labubu at any price.

“This Labubu and I have a personal relationship.”
