Grading giant PSA announced pricing tiers and turnaround times for its new comic book and magazine categories in an email to customers Wednesday.
Beginning July 14, PSA will accept grading submissions for comic books and magazines with a starting price of $25.99 per item and a 20-day turnaround for the Modern (1975-plus) service level.
PSA will also offer a pressing service for comics and magazines at a starting price of $11.99 per item for the Modern service level. The addition of a pressing service will roughly double the estimated turnaround time for the lowest-priced service tiers.

Considered the top grader for sports and trading cards, PSA enters a comic book and magazine category that has been dominated by CGC for the better part of the last two decades — the top 10 comic book sales of all time have all featured books holdered by CGC.
PSA’s first service levels are priced competitively with CGC and are in some cases slightly cheaper, signaling an aggressive strategy for launch.
The first prototypes for PSA’s new comic book and magazine holders appeared in 2024 at San Diego Comic Con during a collaboration between fashion brand Kith and Marvel.
The “Marvel Super Villains” collection featured Asics sneakers with designs inspired by some of Marvel’s most iconic villains. Each pair of sneakers came with a matching comic book, including the rarest variants holdered by PSA.
A Venom-Spider-Man 1/1 sketch variant from the collection sold on eBay in January for $30,000.
