A little more than two months after launching comic book and magazine grading as a new category, PSA is expanding the vertical to include dual service autograph authentication, the company announced Monday.

Effective Wednesday, PSA will offer authentication for autographed comic books and magazines as well as the option to authenticate the autograph and grade the item together in a single service.

“With PSA dual service for comics and magazines, you can authenticate and grade both the book and autograph and perhaps get a coveted PSA 10/AUTO 10, complete with our new gold label,” PSA wrote on its website.

PSA’s initial pricing for the dual service starts at $50.99 for the Modern 1975-plus level, which has an estimated 60-day turnaround and a $400 max insured value.

PSA launched comic book and magazine grading in July and will now directly compete against industry leader CGC as well as Beckett’s CBCS within the category.

Comic books and magazines join cards, tickets, packs, Funko POPs and photographs as popular grading categories under the PSA banner.

Earlier this month, video game grader Wata announced it would rebrand to PSA Video Games following years under PSA parent company Collectors.
