Resolution Photomatching announced the formation of an advisory board Tuesday, a first-of-its-kind initiative featuring some of the hobby’s most prominent voices.
The purpose of the board is to serve as impartial advocates for collectors and the hobby in decisions made by Resolution, such as whether to create a new division or how to present research findings.
Among the original members of the board, all of whom are serving in a voluntary capacity, are Marshall Fogel, one of the most legendary collectors and founding fathers in the hobby, prolific collectors Mike Heffner and Thomas Warman, Anthony Polit, one of Resolution’s longest tenured clients, Seattle sports super collector Sherman Chan and hobby veteran Benjamin Weingarten.
“We want to lead by example in making decisions that are in the best interest of the clients we serve and not just our bottom line, and we believe this advisory board is the best way to do that,” the company said in a statement.
Resolution was founded by John Robinson in 2016 and has since become one of the top photo-matching companies in the industry, providing documentation for record-breaking jerseys, bats and other pieces of the most significant memorabilia in the hobby.
Will Stern is a reporter and editor for cllct, the premier company for collectible culture.
