Collectible toy brand ghostwrite is teaming up with Yahoo Sports ahead of the NFL season to launch a limited-edition Yahoo Fantasy 100% ghost, the company announced Thursday morning.

Founded by StockX founder Josh Luber, ghostwrite has emerged as one of the hottest brands in collectible toys in the past year, counting leagues and brands among its collaborators, including the NBA, WNBA, MLB and Toy Tokyo. Now, the company adds Yahoo Sports to its growing roster.

Much of the buzz surrounding ghostwrite thus far has come from its blind box sales — a method also seen in the Labubu craze — whereby collectors purchase a box without knowing the exact contents.

This partnership with Yahoo is the first time a 100% (2.75”) ghost will be sold directly to the public (all other sales have come via blind box).

Priced at $25, just 1,000 editions will be produced, with Yahoo Fantasy Plus subscribers receiving an exclusive purchase window beginning Monday at 9 a.m. ET.

Produced with scarcity and collectibility in mind, many of the ghost figures have seen massive prices on the secondary market, including a recent eye-popping $30,000 sale of a Caitlin Clark one-of-one.
