Actor and collector Rob Gough snagged one of just two 1970 Topps Pete Maravich PSA 10 rookie cards in existence for $330,000 from a seized asset auction in April. Gough has now flipped the card for more than double that price, selling it privately for $730,000.

The sale was confirmed to cllct by representatives from PSA, which facilitated the transaction. The price is a record for any Maravich card.

Gough, who is known for roles in "American Siege," "The Forgiven" and "Billionaire Boys Club," was likely able to pick up the card for a relative bargain due to the lack of fanfare and untraditional nature of the auction venue.

In 2023, the other PSA 10 copy sold for more than $550,000.

Gough was also the winner of the record-setting 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle PSA 9, which he paid $5.2 million for in 2021.

Other items in Gough's collection include a sealed box of T206 Sweet Caporal Cigarette packs, a 1980 Topps Larry Bird/Julius Erving/Magic Johnson PSA 10, a 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan PSA 10, and game-worn jerseys including Wilt Chamberlain's 1959-60 rookie uniform and Kobe Bryant's jersey from Game 1 of the 2010 NBA Finals.

The 1970 Topps basketball release is known as the “tall boy” set and measures 2 1/2 inches wide by 4 11/16 inches high.

The Maravich card was originally seized as part of an investigation into an offshore internet betting company, 5Dimes.

A George Mikan rookie card, which is now owned by the Smithsonian, and more than $715,000 in rare coins were also seized in 2020.
