The first collaboration between Topps, Major League Baseball and Disney landed Wednesday with the release of Topps Chrome Disney 2025.

For the first time, the iconic Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck characters appear in an MLB trading card product while wearing uniforms of teams across the league.

Topps Chrome Disney 2025’s release features Mickey in jerseys for the AL and NL West, while Goofy wears the AL and NL East, and Donald Duck dons the AL and NL Central. According to Topps, the three Disney characters will rotate uniforms and divisions across a three-year run.

The trio will wear home uniforms in Topps Disney Chrome sets and away uniforms in upcoming Topps Chrome Update Baseball sets.

Topps Chrome Disney 2025 released Wednesday with hobby boxes retailing for $419.99 and 12-box hobby cases for $5,039.99.

Topps rapidly has increased its production of Disney-related products since expanding its licensing deal with the entertainment empire in 2024. In addition to expanded releases for brands such as Disney and Star Wars, Topps added Pixar brands and the coveted Marvel franchise to its product offerings.

Interest in Disney cards, which have a long history dating back to the early 1930s, has increased in recent years through increased production from Topps as well as the release of the popular Disney Lorcana trading card game.

To date, the most paid for a Disney card is the $500,000 spent on the 2023 Topps Chrome Disney 100 Mickey Mouse Superfractor 1/1 PSA 9 in October 2024.

The public record for a classic Disney card, according to data tool Card Ladder, is the $40,383 paid for a 1931 W.D. & H.O. Wills Cinema Stars Walt Disney/Mickey Mouse PSA 9 at Goldin Auctions in October 2023.
