A curated series of baseball cards pulled by some of the game’s most notable player-collectors will sell later this month in an auction hosted by MLB Players Inc.

Titled the "Players Collection," the inaugural auction features roughly 60 cards, all of which are graded by PSA with a special “MLB Players Collection” pedigree on the label. Bidding opens Sept. 30 and runs through Oct. 10.

Handpicked by the players, cards were pulled from dozens of boxes during spring training by Bobby Witt Jr., Brett Rooker, Corbin Carroll, Justin Turner, Logan Webb, Trevor Megill and more.

A four-part series showing players ripping through the cards will also launch alongside the auction.

"We wanted to create a fun opportunity for our players and the broader collecting community,” said Alex Goodman, director of baseball cards and memorabilia at MLB Players, Inc. “Opening cards with the guys and hearing their reactions, memories, and stories was special.

"When you combine those moments with these iconic cards, and bring it all together into one collection, it becomes an entirely new experience for fans. We’re grateful to PSA for the partnership on card grading and authentication, and we’re proud to bring this idea to life.”

Notable cards include autographs of Mariano Rivera, Yadier Molina, Derek Jeter, Ryne Sandberg, Greg Maddux, Cal Ripken Jr., Ronald Acuña Jr., Juan Soto, Mike Trout, Albert Pujols, Wade Boggs and more.

Sets include Topps Definitive, Topps Diamond Icons and Topps Luminaries.
