Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was the clear hobby darling from the 2024 NFL Draft class one year ago.

An MVP-worthy 2025 regular season from New England Patriots star Drake Maye has shifted that narrative, however, and it’s now Maye atop the hobby’s football card market.

Of the football players tracked by Market Movers, none has had more sales over the last 365 days than Daniels — his more 216,000 transactions easily outpace Maye’s roughly 184,000 sales in second place and Bo Nix’s more than 137,000 in third.

Injuries and a 5-12 record for Washington reshaped the card market over the last six months, however, and it’s now Maye capturing the interest of collectors with the Patriots entering the playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the AFC.

According to Market Movers, Maye has been the top-selling football player over the last 180 days with more than 121,000 sales, which easily tops Daniels’ more than 77,000 over that period.

Maye’s popularity has also resulted in significant price growth for those cards, with the second-year QB the only player among the top 10 best-sellers over the last 180 days with positive movement across his collective market.

Positive collective price growth can be extremely difficult to maintain with high volume, illustrated by the sinking markets for Daniels (-40%), Nix (-9%) and former No. 1 pick Caleb Williams (-7%) over the last 180 days.

Overall, Maye’s cards are up 103% collectively over the last 180 days and 9% over the last month. Of those cards, Maye’s 2024 Prizm Silver PSA 9 has been among the QB’s best-sellers with more than 650 sales over the last 180 days — that card has climbed to an average of about $300 after selling for around $145 six months ago.

Seattle Seahawks receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who led the NFL with 1,793 receiving yards, has been another hobby winner from the regular season with more than 16,000 sales tracked by Market Movers over the last six months.

Smith-Njigba’s market has increased 51% collectively over that period, making him just the second active player after Maye among the top 15 best-sellers with positive growth.

Smith-Njigba’s 2023 Prizm Silver PSA 10 has been his best-selling graded card over the last six months with nearly 60 transitions. That card has risen from about $140 to more than $200 over that period.
