PSA has expanded one of its newest marketplace features to include cash offers for cards as soon as grades are revealed, the company announced Tuesday.
Previously limited to vaulted items, the PSA Offers program will now allow customers to accept offers within a 24-hour window after grades for each order are revealed. Customers can also choose to list cards for auction through PSA’s eBay store or to vault the cards with the company during that 24-hour window.
According to PSA, offers from a partner network of buyers will be visible during the Grade Reveal feature inside the PSA app as well as inside the app’s grading tab or the website’s orders tab.
PSA Offers will still be available to customers with cards in the PSA Vault.
First launched in November, the expansion of the program is the latest step toward what PSA hopes could eventually become a public matchmaking program for collectors hunting specific cards.
According to PSA president Ryan Hoge, the program was heavily inspired by the matching feature used by set registry users.
The expansion of the program also signals a continued push by PSA to become a larger player on the secondary market. PSA announced in August it would offer discounted grading rates when collectors agreed to sell submissions directly through PSA after grading.
Those grading specials closely followed the launch of PSA’s certified repack program in July. Through the program, PSA will provide logistics, certification and authentication for third-party repackers. PSA can also source cards for repacks through the company’s eBay store, the PSA Vault and the PSA Offers program.
