A complete set of 1st Edition Pokémon, featuring all cards graded PSA 10, has sold for an all-time record $911,629.69 via Rally, a platform for buying and selling equity shares in collectible assets.

The set, one of just nine with all cards perfectly rated in PSA’s registry, was first offered at a price of $120 per share ($600,000 market cap) in April 2021.

Rally received an offer for a buy-out on the set of $600,000 and initiated a poll earlier this week, only for another Rally user to counter the offer with a higher bid. This sparked a 24-hour bidding war ending with the record-setting bid.

Following approval from shareholders and Rally’s advisory board, the sale will provide a gross return of 51.9% since IPO and a gross return of 137.4% since the last trade on the platform.

"Pokémon isn’t a fad, it’s a fixture," Rally co-founder Rob Petrozzo said. "Every few years, a new generation discovers it all over again, and the demand only grows, and we're definitely seeing that in the market right now. This record sale is a testament to that staying power and to our investors who believed early in the long-term value of real cultural icons like this set.”

The most expensive card in the set is the No. 4 Charizard, which most recently sold in a PSA 10 grade for $264,000.

Complete PSA 10 sets are not only incredibly rare to see assembled, but public sales are few and far between. The highest sale to date was $666,000 in February 2021 at Goldin Auctions.

Rally previously had another complete set on its platform, which it sold in June 2024 for $317,206 at Goldin.
