Panini Blockchain completed its second consecutive record month with more than $15 million spent on the platform in September.
In total, collectors spent $15,634,447 across almost 341,000 transactions, according to Panini’s records. September’s total more than doubles the previous record of more than $7 million spent in August.
Highlighted by the record $175,000 paid for the Caitlin Clark Green Kaboom 1/1 NFT, more than 50 transactions topped $10,000 in September, including 12 of $25,000 or more.
Some of September’s success was driven by the release of 2024 Panini NFT WNBA Rookie Royalty, which saw the original 684 packs sell via Dutch Auction. Those packs have since exploded in value on the secondary market with an average sale price of $3,156 and a high of $4,339 — just 227 of the packs remain unopened as of Wednesday afternoon.
The record September arrives amid a breakout year for the platform, which has had more than $48 million spent so far in 2025 across more than 1.4 million transactions. The previous record for the platform was the nearly $32 million spent in 2022.
Panini Blockchain’s success in 2025 is also a massive increase from the $13.5 million spent in 2024, which was the platform’s lowest yearly total since its debut in 2020.
