Celebration ensued across the galaxy last week, as “Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith” returned to theaters for its 20-year anniversary.
Fans flocked to the movies in a tidal wave of nostalgia, as ROTS had the biggest re-release of any movie in history.
The excitement will continue in ballparks across America, as teams celebrate May the 4th, hosting their own “Star Wars” games with Darth Vader, R2-D2, the 501s Legion and many more.
Additionally in these games, there will be plenty of giveaways and theme ticket opportunities to buy merchandise.
Here are the top 10 “Star Wars” promotions across Major League Baseball this season.
1 .San Francisco Giants: Bucket hat, Obi-Webb Kenobi bobblehead, BB-8 jersey, Darth Vader bomber jacket
The Giants produced one of the best promotional calendars in all of baseball this season, and it certainly continued with their celebration of the world’s most famous space opera.
If you just want the giveaway items, the first 15,000 fans Saturday received a “Star Wars” bucket hat, and the same number will receive a BB-8 jersey Sunday.
And if you want to shell out extra for a special event ticket, as these aren’t in a giveaway, you can procure an Obi-Webb Kenobi bobblehead with an orange lightsaber — Webb is well on his way to a Cy Young win this season — and a Darth Vader bomber jacket.
Add in the fact the team is celebrating “Star Wars” over multiple days, giving fans more chances to rake in these collectibles, the Giants must have more resources than the Empire.
2. San Diego Padres: Xander Bogaerts X-wing pilot bobblehead
Big, big props to the Padres for being the only team featuring a rebel pilot to actually put the pilot in action.
The Padres are giving away a Xander Bogaerts X-wing pilot bobblehead — and he is actually flying an X-wing.
I’m not sure if it was intentional to give Bogaerts this role, I’d hope so, considering so many people call him “X.”

3. Houston Astros" Mauricio Dubón X-Wing pilot bobblehead, light side/dark side Hawaiian Shirt
It only makes sense that in the nation’s space capital, the lead giveaway is an X-wing pilot. Though, this bobblehead would certainly be more valuable if it featured a starter. No offense to Mauricio Dubón.
But the addition of both the light side and dark side Hawaiian shirts gives the Astros a significant bump. Though, they should throw in the shirts, because a themed ticket is an extra $65.
4. Pittsburgh Pirates: PNC Park/Millennium Falcon figurine
There are a few teams across MLB to feature their park in “Star Wars” figurines. The Pirates did, by far, the best, especially considering the rest of their promo calendar isn’t great.
It’s like having Paul Skenes on the roster and not spending money anywhere else ...
Nonetheless, the details of PNC Park in this figurine are really well depicted; and that’s what separates this from other teams with the same idea.
5. Boston Red Sox: Jedi/Sith hoodies with lightsaber mini-bat
The Red Sox are very big on clothing giveaways, especially on their theme nights. Last year, Boston gave away a Mandalorian jersey, which came with a jetpack backpack with the purchase of a theme ticket.
This year, there’s more than one garb option, with a Jedi and Sith hoodies. Additionally, a theme ticket purchase gets you a lightsaber mini-bat. If the bat was full-size, this would be either No. 1 or 2 on the list.
6. Kansas City Royals: Michael Sky-Wacha bobblehead
What I like about this bobblehead, in addition, of course, to having a very fitting name in Sky-Wacha, is it features both the X-wing pilot helmet as well as his Royals hat.
Several of the other X-wing pilot promotions, including the Dubón Astros bobblehead, have just the helmet.
Props to the Royals for including both.
7. Los Angeles Dodgers: Death Star over Dodger Stadium figurine
Start putting together your Dodgers "Star Wars" collection.
Last year it was the Millenium Falcon over Dodger Stadium. This year it’s the Death Star. What’s next? An X-wing would be pretty cool.
What’s nifty about this one is the stadium below actually has an LED light to shine blue.
8. Miami Marlins: Light side/dark side jerseys
Like the Red Sox, the Marlins are one of the teams capitalizing on wearing the merch instead of bringing it home to display.
They’re selling, with the purchase of a theme night ticket, light and dark side jerseys, which are really Jedi robe and Darth Vader jerseys.
And it seems like it’s going quite well, as all the dark side jerseys are sold out ahead of the May 4 contest.
9. Texas Rangers: Kumar Rocker "Mandalorian" bobblehead
With “The Mandalorian” somewhat out of the daily lexicon this year — the last season of the show was released in 2023, and the movie won’t come out until 2026 — many teams returned to the core six movies for their inspiration.
But the Rangers zigged while everyone else zagged. Maybe because the year the third season was released, Texas won the World Series. Or maybe Rocker is just a fan of Mando. Either way, I like the touch of him holding a baseball while in full Mandalorian armor.
10. Los Angeles Angels: Big A and Millenium Falcon
Well ... there should hopefully be no second guessing which team this promotion is for. After all, it is a “Big A” with the Millenium Falcon sitting on top.
This doesn’t look nearly as cool as the Pirates having the ship above their ballpark, but the branding is very strong with the force in Anaheim.
Plus, I like that it says “2025 Star Wars Weekend” at the base.
