Angel Reese is looking to cash in on her haters.

After critics on social media began using the term "mebounds" to refer to the Chicago Sky star’s rebounds, implying her stats were padded due to her own missed shots, one post on X suggested Reece trademark the term and become the first “WNBA billionaire.”

Reese responded to the post with a checkmark and a winking face emoji, tagging her agent Jeanine Ogbonnaya.

Monday morning, two days after Reese's response, records from the U.S. Patent Office showed Reese wasn’t kidding and had actually filed a trademark claim on the phrase for T-shirts, sweatshirts and hats.

Reese is currently averaging a double-double, with 10.4 points and 11.9 rebounds per game on 35.7% shooting from the field. She posted her first career triple-double Sunday with 11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in Chicago's 78-66 victory over Connecticut.
