A new chase debuting in 2025 Topps Chrome Baseball will take at least seven years to complete — if you’re lucky.

Announced Monday, the new “Cooperstown Calls” set features a rainbow of parallels for cards of the latest Hall of Fame class, with a new parallel available each year over a seven-year period.

According to Topps, the first “Cooperstown Calls” cards will be released as part of 2025 Topps Chrome Baseball, though only the Blue parallel numbered to 150 will be available this year. A new parallel will be released each year until eventually only the Superfractor 1/1 will appear.

For the most recent Hall of Fame class, additional parallels will be Green /99 (2026), Gold /50 (2027), Orange /25 (2028), Black /10 (2029), Red /5 (2030) and the Superfractor 1/1 (2031).

The 2025 class, which will be enshrined in Cooperstown this weekend, includes Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia, Billy Wagner, Dave Parker and Dick Allen.

The “Cooperstown Calls” concept expands on the popularization of “rainbow” collecting, which has grown extensively during the ultra-modern era. With many ultra-modern sets now packed with dozens of parallels and variations, some collectors chase the “rainbow” of cards for their favorite players or teams.

The rules for completing a rainbow can vary by collector, though most typically include finding at least a single 1/1 variation. The completion of a rainbow is considered a major achievement for modern collectors.

The new 2025 Topps Chrome Baseball set releases Wednesday.
