Two of Tony Hawk’s earliest skateboard decks, including one that was damaged in a house fire at Hawk’s home, sold for a collective $108,800 in separate auctions at Julien’s on Tuesday.

The first skateboard Hawk ever rode as a professional, a 1982 Powell-Peralta Signature Pro Model, sold for $57,600.

In the auction lot, Julien’s described the board as marking “the official birth of the Tony Hawk brand and the beginning of a career that reshaped sports forever.”

Hawk, who became arguably the world’s most recognizable skateboarder and became the first to land the vaunted 900, won 16 medals in the X Games, including 10 golds.

Another 1982 Powell-Peralta board, which displayed burn scars after it was rescued from the house fire, sold for $51,200.

“Presumed lost for years, (the board) was later recovered by Hawk himself, reunited with its rightful owner and reclaiming pride of place in his personal collection,” Julien’s said.

The deck was also seen in the 1991 skate film “Celebrity Tropical Fish.”
