More than 1 million TCG cards were graded by PSA in November, while sports cards tallied 605k

Trading card grading declined 17% in November following an all-time record month in October, according to data released by GemRate on Monday.

Grading activity totaled 2.23 million cards in November after topping 2.7 million in October. November’s total is still a 35% increase year-over-year.

November featured just 18 business days compared to 21 in October, which resulted in a 1% increase month-over-month on a per-business-day basis.

PSA led all graders in November with 1.66 million cards graded, including 1.05 million TCG cards and 605,000 sports cards. CGC finished second among the major authenticators with 425,000 graded cards.

Beckett graded 74,000 cards, TAG graded 39,000 cards, and SGC graded 35,000 cards.

SGC’s total is the lowest in a single month since GemRate began tracking grading activity in 2022.

According to GemRate, Michael Jordan was the most graded athlete in November with nearly 20,000 cards, while Pikachu was the most graded TCG character with 170,000.

The most popular sports card in November was the 2025 Topps NOW Draft Cooper Flagg No. D1 with more than 7,000 cards, and the most graded TCG card was 2025 Japanese McDonald’s Promo Pikachu with more than 145,000.
